Reporting on results

We rely on researchers at our funded institutions to report annually through project progress reports on the outputs and outcomes resulting from their CFI-funded infrastructure over the fiscal year. The progress report is an online questionnaire completed by project leaders and submitted by institutions each year for the majority of CFI-funded projects that are operational.

Project progress reports

Updated: June 14, 2024

This online interactive dashboard provides overviews of key outputs and outcomes resulting from CFI-funded infrastructure. Each individual time-series chart displays a trend over the past four years and includes province/territory and funding type filters to refine data analysis. All time-series data was collected through CFI project progress reports (PPRs). The PPR is an online questionnaire which is completed by the researcher leading a CFI project, primarily those funded by the John R. Evans Leaders Fund and the Innovation Fund, and submitted by the host institution after the research infrastructure becomes operational. Institutions are required to submit a PPR for each funded project by June 30 each year, for four or five years depending on the award value. The dashboard will be updated annually as new data becomes available.
