OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Research Facilities Navigator posted its 600th profile of a state-of-the-art research facility this week. It’s another important milestone in an exciting six months for the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s online directory of research facilities in universities, colleges and research hospitals from across Canada. Each of these facilities are open to working with business and other users of research.

Since its relaunch with a suite of new features last October, the Navigator has grown by nearly 50 new profiles of leading edge facilities working in 28 different sectors of application. It is an assemblage of research capacity that offers public- and private-sector leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs an unparalleled opportunity to leverage top research talent, services and equipment to help drive their success.

Reaching 600 facility listings is a milestone, but it also represents a movement — a growing interest among the Canadian research community to connect and collaborate with partners on opportunities that can generate meaningful changes to our world. We salute their initiative, and look forward to supporting their efforts through the next 600 listings.
