OTTAWA, ONTARIO — Canada’s young researchers are curious, ambitious, innovative and collaborative problem solvers. The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) knows that today’s research is being shaped by this new generation of great minds, and we want to highlight their contributions by celebrating and sharing their vision of a better future for Canada.

The CFI helps make sure young researchers have what it takes to realize their potential, by providing the environments where they find their inspiration, their highly skilled training, their mentors and the roadmap to their future. To highlight their achievements, we are telling their stories and how access to CFI-funded tools and research spaces has helped advance their research and their careers.

The CFI is also launching an #IAmInnovation Twitter contest to discover more stories from across the country. Students and post-docs at Canadian institutions can enter by telling us – through an image or video tweeted to us – how working in state-of-the-art facilities and with cutting-edge equipment funded by the CFI is bolstering their research.

We want them to tell all Canadians just how important it is to equip this country’s bright minds with the tools they need to think big and innovate. Winners will have a chance to take over the CFI’s @InnovationCA Twitter feed, and win a trip to Ottawa to be our guest at a special event.
