Governor General’s Innovation Awards 2018 recipients announced

OTTAWA, ONTARIO — Today the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General announced the recipients of the third annual Governor General’s Innovation Awards

These awards recognize exceptional Canadians, teams and organizations across all sectors of society, who strengthen and inspire the country with their groundbreaking work, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Hailing from all corners of Canada, the award recipients support the well-being and quality of life of Canadians by pushing the boundaries of their respective fields and sectors.

A proud founding partner of the awards, the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) managed the adjudication process, drawing on the best practices of our well-established and highly rigorous merit-based review process – the same process we use to award funds for research infrastructure projects at universities and colleges across Canada.

The awards ceremony will be held May 23, 2018, at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
