Saving the environment and taxpayer dollars

The University of Windsor’s research on water quality saves the City of Windsor more than $30 million

The Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research at the University of Windsor has a long-standing partnership with the City of Windsor, helping it to be a leader in sound environmental practices. Work done on water quality in a river into which wastewater was being discharged, for example, saved the city more than $30 million in unnecessary upgrades to its water-treatment facilities.
