A sensible way to train
A sensible way to train
For the 2014 Olympic Winter Games at Sochi, Tim Walzak and his team of researchers at Camosun College's Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence developed sensors that athletes wear while training. The system tracks and measures their movements and the effects of those movements on speed, strength and acceleration. Coupling the data stream with high-definition video, coaches and competitors can then revisit their training session to get real-time feedback on their performance.
