OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) welcomes several new appointments to its Board of Directors and Members governing bodies.
Lynda Brown-Ganzert and Prem Singhmar were appointed by the Government of Canada to the CFI Board and will join a distinguished group of directors, each of whom offers a unique perspective and an understanding of the research world and Canada’s position within it.
Lynda Brown-Ganzert is the founder and CEO of Curatio, the world’s first social health prescription service, and Prem Singhmar is President of Singhmar Developments Inc., AUM Hotel Group Inc. and Singhmar Acres Ltd.

Dr. Leslie MacLaren, outgoing Academic Vice-President and Provost at St. Francis Xavier University and Professor of Animal Physiology at Dalhousie University, has also been appointed to the CFI’s Board of Directors by CFI Members.
In addition, the CFI also welcomes Dr. Jack Gauldie, Vice President Research at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, and Dr. Louise Proulx, Chief Development Officer for Therillia Development Company Inc. and former CFI Board Director, as Members. The Board of Directors reports to Members, a group of accomplished individuals who act as a higher governing body similar to a company’s shareholders but representing the Canadian public.
The CFI also acknowledges the reappointment of Rod McInnes as a Board Director for a second three-year term, along with Harold Cook and Linda Humphreys, who have been reappointed as Members.
