Buildings are at the core of the urban environment. They affect the way we live, work, and play. But in Canada, they also have a huge impact on the environment. Buildings consume nearly 40 percent of our total primary energy use, and contribute roughly 30 percent of our total greenhouse gas emissions.

The green building movement is changing the way we design, construct, and operate buildings and communities. Rather than being part of the problem, buildings can become a big part of the solution.

Our leading experts will explore the latest in green building technology, and discuss how and why municipalities are adopting green building strategies as an essential component of sustainable growth.
