Douglas Lauriault Douglas Lauriault brings an in-depth knowledge of the political process, government relations, media, communications, and events planning to the CFI. He has extensive experience in policy development, research, public advocacy, and working with partners and stakeholders across all sectors. |
Mr. Lauriault has been with the CFI since 2002, when he joined as Director of Public Affairs, and has since held a series of progressively more senior leadership positions within the organization.
Before joining the CFI, Mr. Lauriault served as Director of Public Affairs for the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, and worked in various roles in both the Senate of Canada and the Ontario Legislature.
He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Carleton University and is a recipient of Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee Medal for community service in Canada.
