Training the next generation of innovators
May 11, 2012
In today’s knowledge-based economy, producing new knowledge is crucial to maintaining a competitive edge, and high quality personnel (HQP) play a key role. The quality of research facilities is often a factor students consider when choosing where to pursue graduate studies. A total of 30,000 students, postdoctoral fellows and technicians used CFI-funded infrastructure for their training in 2010-11. Training on state-of-the-art equipment can give students a leg up when it comes to entering the job market. Infrastructure contributes to a more innovative workforce, giving students the experience and skills they need to thrive in today’s workplace.
