OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) released a Call for Proposals today for its newest funding opportunity: the Cyberinfrastructure Initiative. The CFI has allocated up to $50 million in funding for cyberinfrastructure to encourage the country’s researchers to work together and with their counterparts in data science, analytics and software development to adopt and develop new ways to make better use of increasingly complex data sets.
MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC — Montréal enters a new age of healthcare research and delivery today with the official opening of the new facilities of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC). The institute received $99 million from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) — the largest grant ever awarded by the research infrastructure funding organization.
