The Canada Foundation for Innovation welcomes delegates to Congress 2012

May 16, 2012

Every year, the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences provides a unique opportunity for a number of Canada’s top scholars to come together to discuss and debate pressing issues of national interest. The social sciences and humanities play an important role in understanding and preserving culture, informing sound public policy and preparing Canada for social and demographic change.

At the Canada Foundation for Innovation, we are proud to support research in all disciplines and in all regions of the country, and we see how these investments are having a great impact on Canadian communities.

At this year’s Congress in Kitchener-Waterloo, the CFI has convened a panel of senior leaders from the university community to discuss how we can grow this impact through new models of service to the community and engaged research. We hope you will join us in the Senate & Board Chamber on the Wilfrid Laurier University campus at 2:30 p.m. for what will be a lively conversation about how their institutions are interacting with their respective communities.
