I am writing to you today following the June 2003 meeting of the Board of Directors of the Canada Foundation for Innovation. It is customary since first joining the CFI in 1998, that at the June meeting of the Board we review my annual contract with the CFI. This year I informed the Board that I would only seek a nine month renewal ending my contract as President and CEO effective March 31, 2004.

The new and improved report forms (impact and progress reports) are now available on our website through the CFI Online section and can be prepared and submitted electronically. The deadline for submission is June 30, 2003.
For this year, reports must be submitted for all projects for which the award was finalized before March 31, 2003. Reports should cover the period from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003.
